PLAN OVERVIEW

Compare resource boundaries before choosing a billing term

Both plans deliver one dedicated Mac mini physical node with full macOS GUI and command-line access. The key differences are the chip, unified memory, internal storage, and workload capacity—there is no need to weigh shared against dedicated compute.

OAK CORE

A clear starting point for personal development and light builds

Oak Core includes a Mac Mini M4, 16GB RAM, and 256GB SSD. It suits maintaining one main project, running everyday command-line tasks, debugging through VNC, or connecting a dedicated cloud Mac to a low-concurrency self-hosted runner workflow.

When your worktree, dependency cache, and build artifacts fit within 256GB SSD and tasks usually run sequentially, Oak Core avoids unnecessary memory and storage spend. If you need to retain larger caches, add an SSD at checkout instead of moving straight to the higher tier.

  • Ideal for personal Xcode project debugging, Fastlane tasks, and version checks
  • Ideal for single-project builds, scheduled scripts, and low-concurrency automation
  • Ideal for validating Apple Silicon compatibility before committing to a longer term

OAK FORGE

Room for high-memory worksets and sustained pipelines

Oak Forge includes a Mac Mini M4 Pro, 64GB RAM, and 2TB SSD. It is built for keeping multiple project environments available, running high-memory compilation tasks, conducting Apple Silicon AI inference experiments, and handling consistently busy build queues.

When dependency resolution, compilers, simulators, caches, and other processes must stay in memory together, 64GB RAM provides a clearer resource margin. The 2TB SSD is also better suited to multiple repositories, model files, build caches, and exported artifacts, reducing interruptions caused by frequent cleanup.

  • Ideal for daily development with multiple repositories or toolchains
  • Ideal for LLM inference, large data directories, and reproducible experiment records
  • Ideal for high-load CI/CD pipelines and queued multitasking
CONFIG ADVISOR

Choose by concurrency, memory, and data volume

Do not choose a machine by project name alone. Check build-time memory use, simultaneous processes, cache growth, and queueing, then map the real workload to the right tier.

Light builds and personal debugging

Start with Oak Core

When your work centers on code editing, dependency installation, single-project builds, command-line automation, and remote debugging—and you do not need to retain large models or extensive build artifacts—M4, 16GB RAM, and 256GB SSD are a straightforward starting point.

Concurrency profile
Tasks usually run serially; runner queues are short
Memory profile
The toolchain and project stay reliably within the 16GB RAM limit
Storage profile
Repositories, dependencies, and artifacts can be archived regularly
Daily multi-project development

Measure the workset, then compare both tiers

If multiple repositories are used in rotation, start with Oak Core and add storage. If Xcode, language runtimes, simulators, databases, and runners often run together—or memory pressure makes tasks compete—move to Oak Forge.

Choose Core
Projects are rotated; storage capacity is the main bottleneck
Choose Forge
Multiple build or development processes must remain active simultaneously
How to check
Record peak memory, cache directories, and queue wait times
AI inference and high-load pipelines

Choose Oak Forge

LLM weights, inference frameworks, input data, and result files share unified memory and disk. High-load pipelines also add dependency caches, build directories, and concurrent processes, so Oak Forge’s M4 Pro, 64GB RAM, and 2TB SSD are the better fit.

Concurrency profile
Multiple tasks remain queued or run simultaneously
Memory profile
Models and toolchains create a high-memory workset
Storage profile
Models, caches, and experiment artifacts need long-term retention
Still unsure? Run one complete dependency restore, build, test, and artifact export using a real repository, and record peak memory and disk growth. Do not size the configuration from idle-state usage alone.
ADD-ONS

Add-ons are priced clearly on the same billing term

Storage expansion suits long-term retention of repositories, dependency caches, models, and build artifacts. Thunderbolt 5 pairing is priced per device and fits workloads that clearly require multiple devices to work together. Add-ons should use the same billing term as the primary plan.

Add-on Daily Weekly Monthly Quarterly Best for
+1TB SSD $2.8/day $7.6/week $14.1/month $38.4/quarter The current configuration is sufficient, but repositories, caches, or artifacts need more retained space
+2TB SSD $5.6/day $15.2/week $28.2/month $76.8/quarter You need to retain large models, multiple worktrees, or long-term build archives
Thunderbolt 5 pairing (per device) $1.7/day $4.5/week $8.4/month $22.8/quarter You have a defined multi-device design and orchestration requirement

Check peak usage, not current idle space

Measure repositories, dependency caches, archives, and export directories after a complete build. Leave room for log rotation and temporary files; do not estimate from the initial repository size alone.

Evaluate storage and memory separately

If disk space is the issue but 16GB RAM is enough, add an SSD to Oak Core. If the issue is a high-memory workset, more storage cannot replace Oak Forge’s 64GB RAM.

Verify pairing per device

Before choosing Thunderbolt 5 pairing, confirm device count, connection topology, task allocation, and data paths, then verify the corresponding option for each device in the order.

BILLING ANATOMY

Read every part of a monthly order—not just the headline price

This example breaks down an Oak Core monthly order with +1TB SSD, covering the plan, term, node, and add-on. Promotions and a calculated total are intentionally excluded.

01

The primary plan defines compute resources

Oak Core’s $97.3/month price covers the M4, 16GB RAM, and 256GB SSD. The node and add-ons do not change the primary plan’s chip or memory.

02

The node defines the physical region

Choose the node based on your team’s location, repository access paths, and remote interaction experience. Confirm the region before placing the order; a region is not a configuration tier.

03

Add-ons are listed separately

The $14.1/month charge for +1TB SSD is a monthly add-on price. Check the primary plan and add-ons separately at checkout; expanded capacity is not part of the internal specification.

ORDER CHECKLIST

Seven checks to avoid the wrong configuration

Configuration, billing term, node, and payment method all become part of the order. Check them in sequence before submitting—it is faster than migrating an environment afterward.

View connection and troubleshooting guide
  1. Confirm your use case:State whether this is for personal development, remote debugging, CI/CD, AI inference, or audio/video automation. Avoid reducing the requirement to simply “development machine.”
  2. Estimate concurrency:Record the builds, tests, simulators, runners, and background services that will run together to determine whether 16GB RAM is sufficient.
  3. Choose a node:Select only from Singapore, Japan (Tokyo), South Korea (Seoul), Hong Kong, and US West, considering your primary connection location.
  4. Check the term:Confirm whether billing is daily, weekly, monthly, or quarterly. Use different term criteria for short-term validation and sustained pipelines.
  5. Verify storage:Estimate repositories, dependency caches, models, build directories, logs, and exported artifacts before deciding whether to add a 1TB SSD or 2TB SSD.
  6. Confirm remote access:Prepare an SSH or VNC client and check your local network, firewall policy, and credential storage method.
  7. Confirm USD payment:Use only USDT-TRC20 or Visa / Mastercard / Amex via Stripe. The console determines which payment gateway is actually available.
ORDER RULES

Keep nodes, billing, and management in one consistent flow

Choose, place, and manage every plan through the same console. Nodes operate continuously 365 days a year; users should still keep independent backups of code, configuration, build artifacts, and keys.

Five available node regions

Currently available nodes are limited to Singapore, Japan (Tokyo), South Korea (Seoul), Hong Kong, and US West. Consider remote interaction, repository access, and team collaboration paths together when choosing.

Only two payment methods supported

Pay with USDT-TRC20 or Visa / Mastercard / Amex via Stripe. All plans and add-ons are billed in USD; the console interface determines the available gateway.

Manage orders and hosts together

Configuration, order status, connection details, and cloud Mac management are handled in the console. The support pages provide connection, toolchain, and pipeline troubleshooting paths.
